Rock pile foundation supports going into the ground.

Construction just beginning October 2007.

The very first concrete wall panel comes out of the casting bed at Bethlehem's yard east of the mountains. You can see the blue rigid insulation at the edge of the panel.

The first insulated concrete Gymnasium panels still in the forms in Cashmere,  Washington.

Green plastic vapor barrier under the Gymnasium floor.

re-bar for the Gym floor slab

The big truss parts for the Gymnasium.

The steel trusses and joists that will be visible in the ceilings of the Club came from this CanAm fabrication plant in the Yakima Valley, WA.

Concrete wall panels are delivered one per truck.

The first four Gym wall panels went up the first day.

Steel diagonal braces hold the concrete panels in place until the roof deck is in place.

Note the big red oak tree behind the concrete wall panels.  The street will become a boulevard and will split around it.

An early morning start.

The second day of installing concrete Gym wall panels.

This is the B&G Club end of the Gymnasium box. The little window will be in the Staff Office on the second floor of the Club.

Connecting the wall panels to the foundation.

The biggest precast concrete spandrel panel gets a lift up into place.

The Multi-Purpose Room concrete floor slab gets a blanket to keep it warm for the first night.

Final touches to the concrete wall panels.

Even though the structure is all steel and concrete, there is still some old fashioned carpentry involved in building the form work.

The roof deck is perforated to absorb sound... and it looks interesting during construction.

You are looking at the Teen Center entry to the Gym from the Games Room.

The intersection of MLK Jr. Way S.and S. Oregon. Note the new Seattle Light Rail tracks that have just been installed. The station is just a block away.

This will be the Boys & Girls Club entry.

This is the last time you will ever see a pile of dirt in the B&G Club gym.

Grinding of welded concrete panel connections.  Sparks flying.
